Course Summary

This course will examine the intersection of technology, culture, and the fine arts. Digital Imaging will focus on the use and manipulation of the image in print and online with a focus on image authenticity and creativity in the age of the Internet. Students will refine their use of Adobe Photoshop and learn to give and receive constructive feedback on visual artistic projects. Communication and process will be emphasized over raw skill and technique, but students can expect to see their image skills improve along with the conceptual foundations of their work. This course will involve two image-based projects. Required materials: Students will need access to Adobe Photoshop CC Price: $10 - $20 per month

James Morgan, MFA

James Morgan is an artist, curator, and educator working in Silicon Valley. His work involves social interaction, coded culture, and democratic structures in game-spaces and simulations. James curates art and games in physical and simulated spaces./n/n

Elizabeth Tu

Elizabeth Tu is an instructional Designer and instructor at SJSU. She has many years of experience in developing business training manuals, managing learning lab and language schools, and designing training and educational programs in business and government setting. Her current focus is to conduct research as well as raise awareness in creating universal accessible course materials/delivery formats./n/n
